WishBank is built to keep your messages on your Mac.

Last updated: May 3, 2026. This policy explains what WishBank.ai collects through the website, the download flow, payments, and the offline Mac app.

Short version: the WishBank Mac app is designed to run locally without an internet connection. We do not upload, sell, or train on your raw messages. We collect your email to send the download link, limited license-validation data if you choose to buy the app, and payment information handled by Stripe.

What the Mac app does not collect

The WishBank Mac app reads conversations locally on your device to find possible gift clues. The offline workflow is designed to work with Wi-Fi off, Ethernet disconnected, or outbound network access blocked by Little Snitch.

We do not upload your raw messages to Mela Roo Inc servers.
We do not sell your messages or gift profiles.
We do not use your private conversations to train AI models.
We do not require an internet connection to use the local review workflow after download.
License-key checks do not include your message content or gift profiles.

Information we collect from you

WishBank is intentionally narrow. We collect the minimum information needed to deliver the app, validate licenses, and process payment:

Email address: collected when you request a download link, used to send the link and respond to support requests.
License validation data: after purchase, the app may contact WishBank to validate a license key. That check may include the license key, associated email or payment status, app version, timestamp, and a limited install or device identifier used to reduce key sharing and fraud.
Payment information: if you choose to remove the free recommendation limits, checkout is handled by Stripe for a one-time $19.99 payment. WishBank does not store your full card number.
Messages you send us: if you email ahoy@wishbank.ai or reply to a download email, we receive the content of that message.

Download links and email

When you request a download, Cloudflare Workers validate and consolidate the request, generate a per-person Cloudflare R2 download link, and send you an email with a link that expires after one day. A copy of the request and send may go to downloads@wishbank.ai so we can operate the download inbox. The reply-to address is ahoy@wishbank.ai.

License key checks

WishBank may perform a license-key check during activation and occasionally afterward to confirm that a license is valid. This is separate from message review. A license check does not upload your raw messages, evidence snippets, reviewed clues, gift profiles, or exported files. If you block network access, the local workflow can still be tested, but activation or license validation may not complete until the app can reach Mela Roo Inc's licensing endpoint.

Payments after free recommendations

The Mac app is not a 3-day trial. It includes up to 5 recommendations for one person, then a license suggestion card. If you add a second person, the app can provide up to 5 more recommendations. If you try a third person before purchasing, the app shows the license suggestion card rather than more recommendation cards. If you choose to remove those limits, payment is a one-time $19.99 checkout processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect and process payment details, billing details, device information, fraud-prevention signals, and transaction information under Stripe's own privacy practices. Mela Roo Inc receives payment status and limited transaction records needed to issue or validate a license key, manage access, refunds, taxes, and support.

Service providers

We use service providers only to run the website, deliver downloads, send emails, process payments, prevent abuse, and provide support. These providers may process routine technical information such as IP address, browser information, request timestamps, and delivery logs as part of operating those services.

Cloudflare: site delivery, Workers, R2 download links, request validation, license validation, and email sending.
Stripe: one-time payment processing for license purchases.
Email providers: receiving and responding to support or download messages.

How we use information

We use information to send download links, validate license keys, answer support emails, process payments, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and improve the reliability of the download, license, and payment flow. We do not use your raw conversations for advertising, resale, or model training.

Retention

We keep email, license, and payment records only as long as needed for download delivery, support, license administration, payment administration, tax/accounting obligations, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and dispute handling. Local app data remains on your Mac unless you choose to export or share it.

Your choices

You can use the app's offline workflow without sending message content to WishBank. You can ask us to delete your download email record or support history by contacting ahoy@wishbank.ai. License and payment records may need to be retained where required for access control, accounting, fraud prevention, chargebacks, tax, or legal compliance.

Children

WishBank is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. If the changes are material, we will update the date above and, when practical, notify users by email or in the app.
